The conflict between Chavez and Uribe fueling tensions in the region

Venezuela review its relations with Colombia and threatened to be harder if there is a "new aggression". The crisis is given by Álvaro Uribe against allegations of Caracas and Quito.

Tension returns to overshadow relations between Venezuela and Colombia with the decision of the Venezuelan president, Hugo Chávez, to pull its staff from Bogota and freeze trade, although his vice president, Ramon Carrizales said yesterday that 'now' the border remains open.

What do you think about it?...

O You agree with President Uribe or President Hugo Chavez?

SPORTS

Today we are asking you...
What is your favorite Sport???

I have been playing soccer since I was in kindergarten. I am planning on playing at least soccer in college, and maybe I might be able to do the other sports but I doubt it.

Our soccer team last year went to the sectional championship but we lost. We lost in double overtime.

This year we lost in the sectional semi-final game in double overtime as well. It seems like whenever my team goes into overtime, we end up loosing. Well thats life right. Give me your opinion.

Without a doubt basketball. I absolutely love it. I'm a huge manu ginobili/spurs fan. I love watching the all star game, dunk contest, three point contest, etc. I love everything about the sport. It's so much fun to watch.

Now have fun watching this....

b Wich situation it was the funniest for you?

GLOBAL WARMING

The impact of global warming in Central America

The climate of Central America strongly affects social and economic conditions in the region through its impacts on agriculture, tourism, and human health. The impacts of the 1997-98 El Niño in Central America provide examples of what future climate warming may bring. During that year, forest fires raged out of control and high sea surface temperatures bleached corals in adjacent seas.

Future changes in the frequency of extreme events such as hurricanes, floods, and droughts may damage important export crops such as bananas, threaten human settlements on unstable hillsides, and facilitate the outbreak of diseases such as malaria and dengue fever.

N What fenomen was a clear example of global warming in Central America ?

N What kind of changes brings the global warming with it?

N What actions are you taking to minimize the efects of global warming in your country?
